Basseterre, St. Kitts – On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) began trials to assess the feasibility of extending the hours of access to water service beyond the times listed in the current water service schedule. Inspector of Pumps, Ian Francis informed us that the WSD deemed the first day of trials successful such that they would continue on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.
Communities involved in the trials are:
- Shadwell West
- Shadwell East
- Shadwell
- Pine Gardens
- Buckleys (Housing, Park, and Extension)
- Wades Garden
- College Housing
- Taylors
Extended Hours of Service
Before trials began on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the areas listed received water service from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. The trials aim to provide them with additional access to water from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
