Basseterre, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – At 6:30 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, officials of the St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) announced that residents in Sandy Point and Newton Ground would be impacted by reduced water pressure and a potential service interruption on Monday, continuing overnight into Tuesday morning.
WSD officials say that the interruption was triggered by a malfunctioning water pump on which critical repairs have since begun.
Officials expect service to be restored by 5 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
The Department is asking all customers impacted by the interruption to visit the official WSD channels, including this one, for updates. Get the latest information online at mopieudt.gov.kn and water.gov.kn, or follow the WSD on Facebook.
The WSD sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience the interruption may cause and assures all affected customers that the Department remains committed to restoring service as swiftly as possible.
