Canada Estate, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – On Thursday, February 15, 2024, The Honourable Konris Maynard, Minister of Public Infrastructure, arrived at the Quarry Division of the Public Works Department to witness a hillside blast to extract raw materials for road and construction projects nationwide.
Following the explosion, quarry manager Jermaine Lake led Minister Maynard on a tour of the site to inspect equipment and discuss potential improvements to the quarry.
During the visit, Minister Maynard and Mr. Lake discussed the quarry’s equipment needs and explored potential ways to enhance the efficiency of quarry operations while ensuring that the materials produced are of the highest quality.
The visit provided Minister Maynard with a first-hand look at quarry operations and presented an opportunity for dialog about future enhancements meant to increase the output and quality of quarry products.
