Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – On Friday, May 30, 2025, the St. Kitts Water Services Department will carry out essential repair and maintenance activities as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the island’s water infrastructure.
Scheduled works include pipeline repairs at Buckley’s Estate, Shadwell and Sandy Point, trenching the desalination line at Bird Rock, pumping water to the Southeast Peninsula, flushing the line from Camps to Halfway Tree, and clearing the intake at Green Hill. The team will also clean the WSD compound, conduct island-wide chlorine checks and perform connection assessments in several communities, including Shadwell East, Conaree, Hermitage (Cayon), Molineux, St Paul’s and Dieppe Bay.
Some areas may experience temporary water interruptions or reduced pressure during the scheduled work.
