Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – When Jaquori Isaac responded to the Energy Unit’s call to create a mascot back in 2024, no one knew the life that would be given to his creation, Whirl.

Isaac joined a list of three entrants who registered to compete in the design competition the Energy Unit launched in celebration of CARICOM Energy Month 2024.

Now, one year after his win, the communications division in the Energy Unit’s parent Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Energy & Utilities, and Domestic Transport is gearing up to give Whirl a whole new life.

The communications division, which has responsibility for the Ministry’s official website, mopieudt.gov.kn, is dedicating a portion of its site to a youthful audience. Appropriately dubbed the Children’s Corner, the new section will feature audiovisual stories about Whirl and the animated ambassador of the St. Kitts Water Services Department, Splishy Splash.

Visit mopieudt.gov.kn for updates and information on how you may contribute to duo’s adventures in the future.
