Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – The St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) will perform essential maintenance and infrastructure work today, May 27, 2025, at various locations across the island.
The team will run the desalination line at Bird Rock, and hammer and trench the line at Morne Peak.
The team will relocate two existing 1/2” pipelines in Shadwell West, repair 1/2” pipes at Morne Peak and Taylor’s, and clean the surroundings of the pump stations in St. Paul’s and Basseterre Valley.
Additionally, the team will install meters at Stapleton, establish new service connections at Lodge slopes, Tabernacle and St. Paul’s, and lay a new 4” pipeline in Upper Monkeyhill to replace a previously damaged line.
Residents in these areas should anticipate temporary inconveniences, including brief water supply interruptions, noise disturbances, and possible traffic detours.
