Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – The St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) wishes to inform residents and customers in Cayon that interruptions in water service may occur on Wednesday evening (August 19, 2026), as a result of ongoing power interruptions.
The power interruptions have temporarily taken the water pumps offline, and continue to impact the Department’s ability to maintain normal water production and distribution.
If the power interruptions continue for an extended period, interruptions in water service are likely to occur throughout the night.
The WSD will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates on the expected duration of any interruptions as additional information becomes available.
The Department sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks all affected customers for their patience, understanding and cooperation.
