Basseterre, Saint Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – Officials of the Saint Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) issued a statement on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 7:30 a.m., addressing the ongoing water service issues impacting multiple areas in St. Peters.
The issue, which first came to light on Friday, April 17, was attributed to reduced water levels in the storage tank supplying the area. Based on data available at that time, the impact was localized to Ogees and Stapleton Extension.
Since issuing Friday’s notice, additional areas in St. Peters have been impacted. The WSD has identified the cause of the problem as a blockage in the main water line that supplies water from the Green Hill Source to St. Peters.
The Department has been working to locate and rectify the issue and is assuring all affected customers that it has prioritized the matter.
The WSD sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
