PWD Weekend Activity from Friday, June 20, 2025

Date:

Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – The Roads and Drains Division of the Public Works Department (PWD) will be engaging in several activities on Friday, June 20, 2025, and over the weekend that may bring its team to your area for routine maintenance and upgrades.

Earlier today, the asphalt crew of the Public Works Department visited Zenway Boulevard, where they patched the roadway for a safer and more enjoyable driving experience. It’s a task they will continue throughout the weekend in Basseterre.

In Half Moon, the team reinforced a section of the roadway that recent rain undermined. And, in Boyds, the concrete crew continued its work on a retaining wall to mitigate the impact of flooding in the area.

As the team works to maintain and improve the infrastructure, the PWD asks drivers and pedestrians to exercise caution when travelling through these areas.
