The Energy Unit Reiterates Call for Local Energy Practitioners to Join its Community of Professionals

Date:

Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – As the Energy Unit drives the transition to renewable energy and develops energy-related policies, its dependence on private practitioners and the relationships it fosters with ordinary citizens fall squarely in view.

Those considerations were among several that informed the Energy Unit’s decision to implement a directory of energy practitioners in St. Kitts and Nevis to serve local professionals, private citizens, and foreign companies wishing to engage in energy-related projects in St. Kitts and Nevis.

“This directory will facilitate finding, verifying and contacting counterparts in the energy sector in the Federation for recruitment, consultation, or collaboration.”

– Communiqué from the Energy Unit (November 4, 2024)

The directory features local energy practitioners’ names, photos, biographies, and contact information. It includes alphabetical and categorical search functions to facilitate users finding the practitioners by name and with the required expertise for their projects.

The Director of the Energy Unit, Dr. Bertill Browne, stated that the unit initially invited energy practitioners to register in November 2024 following upgrades to its website energyunit.gov.kn. The invitation remains open to all energy practitioners in St. Kitts and Nevis. Registration is free.
