Basseterre, Saint Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – The Saint Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) wishes to advise residents that, due to the ongoing drought conditions, water inflows from our mountain sources remain significantly below normal levels. As a result, some customers in the higher elevations of Monkey Hill may experience interruptions to their water supply outside of the scheduled service reduction period of 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
We understand the challenges and inconvenience that these unexpected interruptions can cause for you and your families, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult period.
While these interruptions are a consequence of the reduced water availability and are beyond our direct control, our team continues to work diligently to maintain regular service delivery.
Based on current conditions, we anticipate that service to affected customers will be restored by 8:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued cooperation. As previously communicated, we are making significant progress toward implementing a permanent solution that will strengthen water supply reliability.
