Water Service Restored to St. Peters After Blockage Cleared

Date:

Basseterre, Saint Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 8 a.m., officials from the Saint Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) announced that water service had been restored to St. Peters following days of intermittent supply that affected Ogees, Stapleton Extension, and higher elevations, leaving some areas without service.

The interruption, caused by a blockage in the pipeline, was quickly identified and cleared by response teams. In an earlier release dated April 20, 2026, the Department had stated it would prioritize the issue, which has now been fully resolved.

The WSD extends its gratitude to the public for their patience during these operations and continues to seek their cooperation in identifying and resolving water service issues across the island.

If you are experiencing water service issues, officials encourage you to speak with the Department via its hotline at (869) 662-4307.

They also encourage you to visit mopieudt.gov.knwater.gov.knWSD’s Facebook page and the Ministry’s Social Media pages for more information.
