Dr. Roland Hoag and Cromwell Williams Talk Groundwater Development and Drill Site Identification

Date:

Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – For the past few years, the residents of St. Kitts and Nevis have acclimated to water scarcity induced by climate change, exacerbated by infrastructural limitations and a diminished sense of collective responsibility concerning water conservation. As communities continue to grow, and the demand for continuous access to potable water becomes increasingly apparent, the Water Services Department (WSD) stands on the frontline of the fight to secure and sustain access to this essential resource.

On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, WSD Manager and Water Engineer, Cromwell Williams, and Geologist Consultant Dr. Roland Hoag, discussed groundwater development and the semi-airborne geographical survey that promises to give residents more access to potable water. At the time, the two men were guests on the fortnightly edition of The Water Line – a radio program initiated and developed by the WSD to sensitize the public about its work and add transparency to its operations.
