Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – Each year, the Energy Unit hosts its Career Day for secondary and tertiary school students in St. Kitts and Nevis to expose them to careers in the energy sector. The event is one of the unit’s most interactive to facilitate engagement with youth regarding energy.

This year’s theme is POWERING YOUR FUTURE; YOUR ROLE IN THE ENERGY REVOLUTION.
The Director of the Energy Unit, Dr. Bertill Browne, explained the theme’s significance.
“The theme aims to convey to students that there will be abundant employment opportunities available to them, while also supporting the Federation’s transition to 100 percent renewable energy.”

“The event will not only highlight traditional technical positions but also emphasize the diverse opportunities across the entire energy sector’s value chain. This includes fields such as human resources, procurement, customer service, public relations, and finance, among others.”
