Here’s What Minister Maynard Discussed in His Recent ZIZ Interview

Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – At 10 A.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, Minister of Infrastructure, Energy and Utilities, Domestic Transport, Information, Communications, Technology and Post, Hon. Konris Maynard, joined ZIZ’s G. Cue for a conversation about the state of water service in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Minister’s appearance precedes the highly anticipated commissioning of the newly constructed Basseterre Desalination Plant, which promises to provide a maximum of two million gallons of water per day to Basseterre and the surrounding areas.

Minister Maynard was also joined by the Water Services Department’s Chief Engineer Landrith Isaac, and Plant Supervisor Frances Zelaya, who complemented his delivery of factual information and critical explanations on the state of water services in St. Kitts relative to supply, groundwater explorations, desalination, storage capacity and personal responsibility.

During the interview over 90-minute interview, Minister Maynard interacted with members of the public who telephoned the studio or asked questions online.

The Minister’s media appearances continue with a similar appointment on Freedom FM at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 4.
