NOTICE FROM THE ST. KITTS WATER SERVICES DEPARTMENT (WSD)
Dear Customers,
The St. Kitts Water Services Department hereby notifies its customers in Frigate Bay (including Half Moon Bay, Fort Tyson Rise, and Calypso Bay), Bird Rock, and the Southeast Peninsula about ongoing and potential water service interruptions.
In Frigate Bay, our team is currently on the second day of urgent repairs to the distribution line, which we expect to be complete by early Friday afternoon (February 7, 2025). During these repairs, we also identified an issue with a pump that limited the amount of water collected in the tank. Consequently, some customers, especially those at higher elevations, may observe low or no water pressure. Customers in Bird Rock may also be affected.
At the same time, we addressed a break in the water distribution line at the Southeast Peninsula, which has caused an extended service interruption in that area. Typically, we would redirect water from Morne Peak to assist with supply to the Southeast Peninsula. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing challenges at Frigate Bay, this redirection cannot occur until the water level in the storage tank returns to normal.
We understand the inconvenience these issues create and are committed to resolving them as swiftly and effectively as possible to restore service to all affected areas. We sincerely apologize for the interruptions.
We encourage you to stay informed by visiting mopieudt.gov.kn and the WSD’s Facebook page.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Sincerely,
St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD)
