Basseterre, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – Over the past weekend, the Roads and Drains Division of the Public Works Department (PWD) demonstrated its commitment to improving the island’s infrastructure, conducting operations in St. Pauls and Basseterre on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February, 2026.
The team officially commenced resurfacing the St. Pauls Basketball Court, which is aimed at restoring the playing surface to improve safety and performance for users of the facility. The team is scheduled to continue the project throughout this week.
In addition, patching and sheeting works were carried out on Princes Street in Basseterre to address deteriorated sections of the roadway. These improvements are part of PWD’s ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and provide a smoother driving experience for road users.
The Public Works Department remains dedicated to ensuring community infrastructure is properly maintained and continuously improved.
