Basseterre, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – The St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) engaged staff and members of the public in an invigorating fitness session at National Heroes Park on Thursday, March 5, following the release of its calendar of activities to commemorate World Water Day on March 22, 2026.
Coordinated by the World Water Day Event Committee, the session brought together people of various fitness levels around the shared understanding that physical activity and adequate water consumption are integral to a healthy lifestyle, adding another dimension to WSD’s tagline, “Water is Life. Every Drop Counts.”

Hosted by sporting icon Delwayne Delaney, the annual fitness session remains one of the liveliest and most anticipated events in the WSD’s month of activities.
The festivities continue on March 16 with a Women’s Fix the Drip Workshop. The workshop aims to equip women with practical skills they can use to fix simple plumbing issues at home and also brings this year’s theme of Water and Gender squarely into focus.
