Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – The St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) wishes to inform the general public of service interruptions for Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Lime Kiln to New Guinea, including the lower section of Mattingley Heights, will experience a service interruption as a necessary precaution to prevent silt from entering the water line following recent heavy rainfall. The WSD expects to restore service by 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Customers in Gundo Field, Parray’s Housing, John England, Pleasant View, St. Peter’s Place, and Upper Monkey Hill will also experience a service interruption due to debris at the intakes that accumulated after recent heavy rainfall, resulting in reduced flow to the water tanks.
The team will repair ruptured pipes in Canada Estate and Bird Rock. Customers in these locations may experience temporary service interruptions.
The WSD apologizes for the inconvenience this may cause and asks for the public’s continued cooperation in reporting water service issues to its agents via 662-4307.
