WSD Co-opts Social Media Influencer “Modelcop Shaq” in National Campaign

Date:

Basseterre, St. Kitts (MoPIEUDT NEWS) – The St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) is set to launch a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness of the importance of water conservation in the lead up to World Water Day on March 22, 2025.

The department has teamed up with popular social media influencer “Modelcop Shaq” to engage the public and inspire water-saving habits. To highlight the significance of water conservation, Modelcop Shaq will take to the streets of Basseterre asking citizens a series of water-related questions. This campaign serves as a fun and educational way to engage the public, gauging their knowledge on basic water facts while inspiring water conservation habits.

“I am very honoured to be chosen for this campaign. I am really excited and look forward to working with the St. Kitts Water Services Department to promote World Water Day 2025.”

-Modelcop Shaq, Social Media Influencer

The theme of World Water Day 2025 is “Glacier Preservation.” Although Shaq will not ask about glaciers, the department’s leadership anticipates that his questions will promote a greater understanding of the daily habits locals can adopt to conserve water and reinforce the department’s message of water conservation.
