Basseterre, St. Kitts (Public Infrastructure News) – The St. Kitts Water Services Department (WSD) issued notices of service interruptions at Olivees, Shadwell (East & West), Pine Gardens, Buckleys (Housing Development, Park, and Extension), Wades Garden, College Housing, Taylors and Bladen at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Officials said the interruptions were necessary to facilitate repairs to a pump servicing these areas and also indicated that service was expected to be restored by 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
The WSD also issued additional notices of service interruptions at Beacon Heights, Dewars, and Upper Shadwell West on Monday. According to WSD officials, the interruptions were caused by a drop in the water level in the storage tank servicing these communities. Meanwhile, a team has been deployed to facilitate repairs to a pump in the area.
The WSD will provide additional details, including estimated service restoration times, as the situation develops.
